This review is from: Landmann USA 82437 8-Foot Contemporary Arch Log Rack (Lawn & Patio) Product is as described and is easy to assemble. Holds 1/4 cord of wood PLUS depending on how high you stack. Shipping was quick but the packaging left alot to be desired...in particular for the Fastening Bolts (which are the MOST IMPORTANT part of the package IMO). It seems they kinda tape or fasten the bolts into the plastic of the End loops....however it is definite that during shipping....these bolts come loose and bounce around in the box. You need 12 Bolts with Washers & Nuts.....I got 11....so had to run over to HOME DEPOT and find ones that fit into the holes of the middle bracket. If they fix that.....this is the best option for a log rack at an affordable price. There are bars in the end loops and there are no longer cross ties for the bottom of the legs. I had to make my own to prevent spreading. Still good value for the money. We considered buying the 4-foot model, but we're gald we didn't. We've piled this rack higher than the end rails; but it holds up beautifully. this means we don't have to go out in rain and snow to the woodshed so often. It's great to have the wood off the floor in our garage; it makes it easy to sweep and clean underneath. The Contemporary Arch model is for some strange reason 10 dollars cheaper. I bought my first four pack from Ace to use in my fire pit. They burn clean and for a really long time. By morning, nothing is left but ash. EVERYTHING burns away. I would have rated these a 5, but it took me a while to figure out the best way to light. After reading the instructions and asking my wife, she suggested to take a screwdriver and hammer to break one of the bricks apart. Once broken, starting a fire was a breeze because the broken brick served as kindling. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a fire pit, wooden stove or fireplace. I'll be experimenting with BBQ this spring so I'll also try them for that. Oh, and my wife is one of those Vegan, green people. She loves them because they are ECO friendly. This review is from: Mojobricks Firewood Alternative (Lawn & Patio) I made 2 fires. When I was lighting the MOJOBRICKs I treated them like all wood logs (the package said they are100% all hardwood). The flame lasted about 4.5 to 5 hours. After the fire was started I just threw on another brick and it ignited immediately and burned for hours. Two days later I used the rest of my MOJOBRICKS to make another fire, after about 5 hours I ran out of bricks and noticed that there was still heat producing ash so I just put a wood log on the smoldering ash, it was so hot that the log ignited in minutes. The wood burning smell it produces is not harsh, clean up is very easy since fire gets so hot all material is incinerated. So I basically bought this log carrier to help my back out, and for that purpose it works very well. It's much easier to load it up and not have to pack wood by hand in separate trips. The package arrived, box-inside-a-box, well packed, and all parts were there. BUT--and this is the BIG BUT--when I opened the box, there was a smell of spray paint that filled my den and was so strong that I literally had to put the open box on the front porch overnight to get the stink out of it. It seemed to me that they had spray painted the parts, then immediately boxed them --and locked in all of that paint odor in the process. I have never had a package with this strong of a smell inside of it before. Also, one of the parts already had a thin coating of rust on it, nothing that spray paint won't fix but you'd think they would have better quality... It tips back and rolls so easily while carrying about 150 pounds of wood that even I can push it uphill with no problem. It comes with a sturdy vinyl cover for protecting your wood from the elements if you leave it outside. Ours sits just inside the garage. This is definitely a convenient little helper. Just be aware that it won't roll through deep snow.
